With years of focused experience in criminal law, Alissa brings an unparalleled perspective to defending your rights.  Based in York, Pennsylvania, she understands the intricacies of the criminal justice system and has successfully handled cases from both the defense and prosecution sides, ensuring she can anticipate challenges and develop the strongest possible strategy. 

Attorney Cardenas possesses extensive and varied jury trial experience, having successfully litigated complex cases—from high-stakes sex crime and child abuse matters to serious felony and misdemeanor charges. She has consistently demonstrated the ability to conduct trials, from voir dire to closing arguments, across years of active practice.

Alissa's background is not limited to criminal law. She previously provided legal advice and representation in various civil cases, including eviction defense, housing, and social security/public benefit denials. She has also handled removal defense cases in immigration courts throughout the country.

Alissa is an alumna of Drexel University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2014. She holds a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University. She is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the US District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
